Job Title: Procurement Manager
Reports To: Head of Finance
Due to planned and continued growth within our businesses we have an opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager. We work in a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, distribution, hire & sales and offer a range of multi-disciplined services to various sectors.
We are a forward thinking, ever evolving business and are looking for someone who brings the experience, knowledge and leadership to allow the group to maximise its potential.
This role will be responsible for the overall strategy and operations across all regions, functions and business entities, whilst managing the organisation’s global supply chain efficiently, taking advantage of opportunities for efficiencies and automation. You will be a strategic, hands-on leader who can elevate the procurement function through the development of its processes, frameworks and operational practice.
You will be employed by – JMAC Hire & Sales (Employer).
However, as part of your employment you are required to work within a Group Role whereby you will be working for all Group Entities namely, JMAC Contracting Services, JMAC Scaffolding, JMAC Industrial Services, JMAC Hire & Sales, and JMAC Asset Integrity.
Key Responsibilities
* You will develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy that supports all global business units and entities.
* Develop and manage the procurement and supply chain budget, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency, working with Finance and other key business stakeholders.
* Monitor and determine the most cost-effective levels of finished goods and raw materials inventory, considering factors like historical demand, supplier lead times, manufacturing cycle time, and non-forecasted demand to align production with global demand requirements.
* Drive innovation and continuous improvement across key processes, technology, products, services, and experiences and simplifying complex operations.
* Lead strategic cost optimisation efforts through products, services, and process and systems improvements.
* Ensure robust governance and controls by establishing policies and procedures for all procurement activities, including both direct (equipment) and indirect (non-equipment) categories.
* Lead change management initiatives and drive transformative changes in support of strategic and operational objectives.
* Adopt overall accountability for the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, supplier agreements and supplier performance management. Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
* Develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity in the event of supplier disruptions.
* Develop and instil standardised frameworks for supplier selection, supplier contracts, quotes requests and other key processes.
* Develop sourcing strategies to identify and secure high-quality materials and services at the competitive prices.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in procurement and supply chain operations.
* Promote sustainable procurement and supply chain practices.
* Manage and navigate import and export of materials on a global scale

Qualifications & Experience
* Proven track record of operating internationally is essential.
* Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain, with demonstrable experience of working with a senior leadership team.
* Expertise in procurement within a construction-related industry is favourable.
* Experience working for a scale-up business and adept at working with change.
* MCIPS Desirable
