MAIN TASKS:
* Separate laundry, load and unload the machines ensuring that all clothes are washed and dried at the correct temperatures.
* Ensure that all labels are marked with the correct names on them, identifying any items of clothing that are poor quality and reporting them to the line manager.
* Ensure that the clients' personal possessions are treated with respect.
* Clean toilets, floors, walls, furniture, fittings, appliances, etc. to the methods and frequencies specified by the Registered Manager of the service.
* Carry out all non-cleaning tasks and resident related duties to the method and frequencies specified by the Registered Manager of the service.
* Report any faults or defects within the fabric of the building to the Registered Manager, and ensure the building is secure at the end of the assigned working period.
* Work under the Health And Safety Guidelines and C.O.S.H.H. (The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and store all toxic substances in a safe and appropriate manner.
* Ensure that the domestic equipment is in good order, report any repairs or faults to the Registered Manager and/or Head of Residential Services.
* Monitor a monthly list of cleaning supplies and submit these to the Registered Manager to enable them to order appropriate cleaning items from the suppliers.
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the designated work area and its environs and observe safe working methods at all times.
* Where appropriate, undertake training conducive to personal role development.
