MAIN TASKS:
* Separate laundry, load and unload the machines ensuring that all clothes are washed and dried at the correct temperatures.
* Ensure that all labels are marked with the correct names, identifying any items of clothing that are poor quality and reporting them to the line manager.
* Ensure that clients' personal possessions are treated with respect.
* Clean toilets, floors, walls, furniture, fittings, and appliances as specified by the Registered Manager.
* Carry out all non-cleaning tasks and resident-related duties as specified by the Registered Manager.
* Report any faults or defects within the building to the Registered Manager and ensure the building is secure at the end of the working period.
* Work under Health and Safety Guidelines and C.O.S.H.H., storing all toxic substances safely.
* Ensure that domestic equipment is in good order, reporting any repairs or faults to the Registered Manager or Head of Residential Services.
* Monitor a monthly list of cleaning supplies and submit these to the Registered Manager for ordering.
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the designated work area and observe safe working methods at all times.
* Undertake training conducive to personal role development as appropriate.
