Band 6 Community Midwife
Do you want to be part of positive transformation within maternity services? Are you passionate about personalisation of care and achieving equality and equity for women and their families? Our service needs a motivated and inspirational Band 6 Midwife to join our maternity team within our community team. You will be a valued member of the team providing personalised care to women throughout their antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal journey.
This post will give you the opportunity to utilise and develop your midwifery skills and care for women in the Abbey Birth Centre and for those women/birthing people birthing at home. You will have the opportunity to take on antenatal/postnatal clinics and provide postnatal care within families' homes.
Within ASPH we have a range of services. We provide a homebirth service, an alongside birthing centre, a level 3 Neonatal Unit, and a high-risk maternal and fetal medicine service. This will give you the opportunity to become skilled in all areas of midwifery. An MDT approach is always used within these services, and we work extremely closely with our NICU team to provide the best outcome for babies that require their care.
We pride ourselves on our working culture, and the senior leadership team strives to improve the wellbeing and satisfaction of our colleagues. You will be provided with opportunities for development and training within the trust and courses offsite. ASPH has recently opened a wellbeing hub, and staff will have the opportunity to access the onsite gym and other resources.
