Access Talent Group are currently working with a fast growing and award winning Civil & Structural Engineering and Transport Planning consultancy. They are currently organically growing due to wealth of projects as such are looking to bring in a Structural Engineer or Technician to join a team in the Southern region of the UK.
Responsibilities:
* Manage projects and ensure compliance with Eurocodes and BS standards.
* Work in a design environment with regular exposure to developers, architects and local authorities.
* Design structural elements in all materials to current standards and practices.
* Prepare calculation packs for submission to local authorities.
* Prepare NBS specifications.
* Assist in the development of other members of staff, providing assistance and knowledge to enable progression.
* Demonstrate excellent written and face-to-face communication, with clear and concise presentation.
* Work closely with both Senior Staff and Managing Director on the proposal of new projects coming into the business.
* Full responsibility and project management of technical schemes.
* Help prepare for, attend and record internal and client project meetings.
* Co-operate with the Quality Management System through undertaking administrative activities.
* Carry the company brand and reputation through business development and marketing input.
* Be responsible for the production of consistent high-quality drawing packages, considering specific client requirements.
* Provide technical input and support for reports and technical notes.
Minimum Requirements:
* 3 years' experience in a consultancy.
* AutoCAD and Revit knowledge.
* TEDDS/Tekla Structures/MasterSeries experience.
* Design in all materials - Steel, Concrete, Timber, Masonry.
* Desire to learn Revit if not already familiar.
* Sound knowledge of building regulations.
Salary: £30,000 to £34,000 Per Annum
