Apprenticeship Manager (Lifelong Learning Centre)
Salary: Grade 8 (£45,585 - £54,395 p.a. depending on experience)
Interviews are expected to be held week commencing 15 July 2024
This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you interested in adult learners and widening participation in higher education? Do you have experience of successful development and delivery of higher and/or degree apprenticeships? Can you work effectively with others to build excellence and ensure compliance with policy and quality assurance requirements?
The development of higher and degree apprenticeships is a strategic priority for the Lifelong Learning Centre (LLC) as part of our focus on adult learners and widening participation. We currently run 2 apprenticeship programmes. Our Foundation Degree for Nursing Associates is offered as a Higher Apprenticeship and we run a Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA). We are also scoping future developments around our established part-time degree programmes, where these are consistent with our mission.
Through the post of Higher and Degree Apprenticeships Manager we seek to ensure excellence in this environment. You will bring a thorough understanding of the policy requirements of the Education and Skills Funding Agency and OFSTED and an ability to work strategically with programme teams, employers and professional partners to establish best practice and high quality in apprenticeship delivery both for existing programmes and in the development of new provision.
