Role Description
This role is a key addition to our Geoscience team, comprising market-leading experts from Ordtek, GDG, and Partrac.
You will work from our Hethel, Norwich office and be responsible for:
* Engaging with clients to discuss project milestones and deliverables.
* Participating in client meetings globally, either in-person or virtually.
* Comprehending client requirements and needs thoroughly.
* Examining client-provided drawings and project/survey specifications meticulously.
* Developing geophysical survey specifications for client tenders and proposals.
* Sourcing technical support for tenders to both clients and internal proposal teams.
* Assessing incoming geophysical data against expected project outcomes.
* Generating offshore reports for detailed investigation using GIS and additional software tools.
* Creating GIS charts to present and communicate data effectively.
* Aiding in the development of GIS projects for clients and managing relevant spreadsheets.
* Composing technical reports, including project bridging documents, technical notes, and final project certifications.
* Evaluating internal client representative reports before distribution to clients.
* Conducting research into emerging technologies and equipment relevant to offshore geophysical surveys.
* Managing project and database-related spreadsheets for tracking and invoicing purposes.
* Organising database information through filing, updating, and managing internal documents and data.
* Guiding less experienced staff in familiar areas.
Key Responsibilities
As a Geoscience Project Engineer, you will require:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* GIS (ArcMap/ArcPro, QGIS) experience advantageous.
* Exceptional IT skills.
* The ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks to tight deadlines.
* High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
* A full driver's licence.
* 2-5 years relevant experience in Geoscience.
