The Maintenance Person plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our care homes. This position involves a wide range of maintenance tasks, from general repairs to health and safety oversight. The ideal candidate is a dedicated individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
1. General Maintenance: Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical repairs, joinery, painting, decorating, and gutters.
2. Building Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep of the building's structure, including regular inspections and repairs.
3. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain heating, lighting, and other essential equipment.
4. Health and Safety: Conduct regular health and safety checks, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
5. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
6. Team Support: Assist and supervise the maintenance team as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Minimum of one year of experience in general maintenance tasks.
2. Strong skills in plumbing, electrical repairs, joinery, and painting.
