Job summary
We have an opportunity for a part-time medical recpetionist to join our small friendly team at Lakeside Surgery in the beautiful village of Lymm. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organised and able to deal with enquiries in a pleasant and polite manner. Previous medical reception exerience is desirable but not essentail. The ideal candidate will need to be calm under pressure and will also need to be flexible to cover holidays and sickness, sometimes at short notice.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will be well-motivated and friendly, enjoy working in a very busy environment and be able to communicate clearly and effectively, demonstrating empathy and care to our patients but also assertive when appropriate. Main duties include, greeting patents and dealing with their enquiries, either at the reception desk or by phone, scanning, processing prescription requests, filing, responding to tasks and emails. Excellent administrative and organisational skills are required as is the ability to use modern technologies.Suitable candidates must be able to work well within a team and respond positively to a rapidly changing environment. Own transport is desirable as work across two locations may be required.
About us
We are a small friendly team, consisting of three GPs, two nurses, a HCA, and a small admin/reception team. The surgery is locating in the village of Lymm, Cheshire with a branch site in nearby Grappenhall.
The current vaccancy is 19 hours per week to worked over two full days (to be confirmed), but must be available to cover holidays and sickness. The salary is inline with minimum wage and is reviewed anuually. We offer five weeks holiday pro-rata, staff uniform and membership of the NHS Pension Scheme.
