Band 7 Cardio Physiologist

Monday to Friday: 08:00-16:00 (30 Hours per week)
£32ph Weekdays
To undertake a full range of diagnostic invasive and non-invasive cardiac investigations To have some knowledge of highly complex cardiac investigations and be willing to develop skills in these areas working towards BSE adult accreditation and BHRS accreditation
Undertake all basic invasive and non-invasive investigations to diagnose heart disease, and produce factual reports as required.
Make judgements on the severity of results, ensuring Chief Physiologist or medical staff are informed immediately of any urgent investigation results and that all correct procedures for dealing with urgent and non-urgent results are adhered to.
Undertake or be prepared to train in order to become competent in the range of highly complex investigations and produce full technical analysis and interpretation of results under supervision whilst working towards BSE adult accreditation and BHRS accreditation.
Ensure patients are aware of the procedure following any investigations and give support and re-assurance if required.
Participate, with other qualified staff, in the training of student cardiac physiologists and assistant practitioners in all basic investigations.
To assist with department audit, technical evaluation and research projects as required.
Participate as a member of the resuscitation team if required when an emergency occurs in the department.
Experience in reablement is essential along with a positive and flexible attitude. Must be a car driver.
