A client of ours in the Basildon area is recruiting an Import Operations Administrator (Air & Ocean) to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm and paying 30,000 - 32,000 per annum depending on experience.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Quoting for and supervising all relevant bookings
2. Creating jobs in the company Freight Management System
3. Invoicing for the department
4. Liaising with the accounts department regarding any sales/cost queries.
5. Assisting the Line Manager & Directors in identifying and developing new accounts/business lanes
6. Ensuring that client satisfaction is met and, if possible, exceeded
7. Working with the Line Manager & Directors to create and achieve departmental and personal budgets
8. Assisting in managing key Airfreight & Sea Freight Accounts and being involved in periodic meetings with clients
9. Working within and in accordance with rules governing a known agent and their relevant status
10. Assisting the Line Manager & Directors in the development of the department
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Import Operations Administrator (Air & Ocean) position:
1. Extensive general knowledge of all aspects of shipping.
2. FCL & LCL Ocean Import Freight, including end-to-end documentation
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Logistics distribution and supply chain industry experience is essential
5. Air & Ocean Export knowledge is desirable.
6. Please note you must have 5 full years' recent employment history with no gaps to be considered for this role.
