We have a new opportunity to be part of our Pattern Shop team in the role of CNC Programmer.
As a CNC Programmer, you will play a key role in delivering high-precision machined components for our F1 operations. You will contribute directly to our ability to produce right-first-time tooling, patterns, moulds and composite components to the highest standards. Working within a high-performance environment, you’ll be expected to bring energy, expertise and a proactive approach to your craft.
You will be responsible for:
* Offline programming using Openmind HyperMill for 5-axis machining of patterns, moulds, jigs, and Rohacell components.
* Programming a wide variety of moulded composite parts and pre-cured carbon fibre inserts.
* Maintaining and developing automation, macros, and databases within Openmind HyperMill.
* Ensuring optimal fixturing, tooling selection, and CNC software utilisation to maximise machining performance.
* Supporting process improvement and helping to integrate new machines and equipment.
* Communicating with Pattern Shop colleagues and cross-functional departments to align machining with build and design requirements.
* Working to tight, demanding deadlines while maintaining the highest quality and accuracy.
* Supporting health and safety awareness and promoting a clean, efficient working environment.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
* Strong experience in CNC programming using Openmind HyperMill (5-axis), ideally in a Pattern Shop or Composite Machining environment.
* Solid understanding of pattern and tooling processes, including machining epoxy tooling block patterns, jigs, and moulds.
* Experience programming Class A composite moulded components (e.g., chassis, gearbox, wings, nose) is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of Heidenhain or Siemens control systems is advantageous.
* Familiarity with Vericut and MSP setting software is beneficial but not essential.
* High level of attention to detail and a methodical, quality-first approach.
* Good communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated and dependable under pressure.
* Strong IT skills and a positive, flexible attitude.
* Willingness to work extra hours as and when required.
