Our client, a leading entity in the aerospace sector, is on the lookout for a Senior Satellite Payload/System Antenna Engineer to join their innovative team in the United Kingdom, with opportunities in Manchester, Stevenage, or Didcot (Harwell Campus).
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and validating requirements for various antenna/payload communications subsystems
Performing trade studies, modelling, simulation, and other forms of analysis to predict performance and optimise design
Supporting the business development team with customer engagements and solution development
Defining and conducting tests to validate performance of antenna/RF designs
Developing test plans to identify test approach, resources, schedules, and cost estimates
Specifying requirements for hardware, software, instruments, and support equipment to meet test objectives
Job Requirements:
Experience in systems full lifecycle, including design, development, and validation
Proficiency in RF design and embedded C/C++ programming
Experience as a Systems Engineer
Understanding of systems design principles and methodologies
Experience in developing antenna simulation tools and using antennas such as phased arrays, elements coupling, and scanning
Background in RF building blocks including LNAs, filters, combiners, SSPA, TWTAs, and oscillators
Experience working with ESA processes and projects is highly beneficial
Degree in engineering; a Master's with emphasis on RF payloads and/or antenna theory is a plus
