The strategic direction of Twist SynBio & Biopharma Solutions is the world’s top 50 (big) Pharma. The local Account Managers (AMs) and Business Development Managers (BD) are responsible for developing partnerships locally in their respective territories. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Partnerships, the Key Accounts Manager will be responsible for coordinating and supporting AM & BD activities at the different geographic locations of multinational partners. The objective is to maximize the success of business partnerships on a multi-site basis.
The KAM supports the AM & BD Manager efforts of the local BD manager (as required) to establish revenue-generating partnerships in their respective geographic locations. The KAM, in association with the local AM & BD Manager, will also support sales activities to expand such partnerships and increase revenues on a worldwide basis at the subsidiaries/affiliates at other geographic locations.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. This role is responsible for maintaining and growing Twist’s SynBio & Biopharma business at top 50 Big Pharma companies in different countries around the world.
2. Working with the Director, Strategic Partnerships, this role is responsible for preparing and delivering business development strategies to globally grow Twist’s Biopharma business.
3. The KAM will also design and develop strategies that move Twist SynBio and BioPharma solutions toward its specific revenue objectives on a geographic basis.
4. Prepare and present regular reports on progress towards business goals.
5. Forecast and obtain sales quota on a regular basis.
6. The KAM is responsible for selling and supporting their business goals with others and ensuring peak performance from the BD team within the Big Pharma sector.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
1. More than 5+ years of sales experience within the SynBio and Biopharma arenas.
2. Bachelor's degree in life sciences required.
3. Proven track record of meeting/exceeding business goals.
4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
5. Strong understanding of market trends, competitive and industry landscape.
6. Time management and flexibility with job duties.
7. Creative, self-starter attitude.
8. Organized and inspiring contributor.
9. Ability to lead a cross-functional and multinational team.
10. Willingness to travel 50%.
