TEXO Recruitment is seeking a Construction Contract Manager on behalf of our external client.
Requirements:
1. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
2. Extensive experience in the construction industry, particularly in contracts or project management
3. Proven track record in managing budgets, programmes, and H&S/QA compliance
4. Minimum of 2 years' management experience, including strategic project planning
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Qualifications:
Essential:
1. CSCS Card
2. Full driving licence
Desirable:
1. SMSTS and CSCS Manager's Card
2. Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering, or equivalent experience
3. NVQ/SVQ Level 5 Management Qualification
4. First Aid, Risk Assessment, and Method Statement certifications
5. Experience with Power Project
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Oversight: Ensure all construction sites follow company processes and safety standards
2. Project Management: Oversee project progress, cost control, and direct labour/subcontractor management
3. Team Leadership: Supervise Project Managers, Senior Site Managers, and Engineers
4. Health & Safety: Develop and manage site safety and quality plans, conducting regular inspections
5. Stakeholder Liaison: Work with local authorities, utilities, and regulatory bodies to meet project goals
6. Problem Resolution: Address construction issues with teams and subcontractors
7. Procurement: Manage procurement of labour, materials, and resources to meet project demands
8. Defect Management: Handle all defect issues promptly, ensuring the most cost-effective solutions
9. Maintenance: Monitor and close out any maintenance issues and review project performance
