Job Description
Make your mark as a Marine Mammal Observer as Gardline!
The successful candidate will be expected to lead and undertake a wide variety of marine wildlife surveys, including marine mammal observations and passive acoustic monitoring, as well as providing general assistance to the project managers, lead scientists and report writers with the production of marine wildlife reports.
Your qualities
You can move ahead as a Marine Mammal Observer: if you have:
13. A Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
14. A good Understanding of Marine Mammals and seabirds; their biology and identification
15. A good Understanding of Marine Mammal Acoustics
16. A good command of written and spoken English
17. You’re willing to travel (within Europe and East Coast of USA) on a fairly regular basis
18. You’re willing to work on location for up to six weeks at a time, followed by up to four weeks’ leave.

22. Where you will work: Onboard our multi-role survey vessels, anywhere in the world where Gardline vessels operate
23. Full time job: The position of Marine Mammal Observer is a full-time role, based on 12 hour shift rotation whilst onboard
