Electrical Engineer
Location: Lakenheath
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-4.30pm
Salary: Up to £50,000

Introduction:
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to undertake repairs, maintenance, and small minor-new works at RAF Lakenheath. Employees in this role will provide key operational support to the business, delivering a great service to our customers, whilst ensuring works are completed on time and within service requirements.
Working on buildings such as Restaurants, Schools, Churches, Gyms, etc.
You will be expected to take a direct interest in the Health & Safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your work activities and will be required to complete any training required for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Undertake Statutory, Mandatory and Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks in a safe and efficient manner and ensure all relevant records and documentation are completed comprehensively.
2. Carry out reactive repairs/callouts on mission-critical assets in a timely manner, aiming to always complete within contractual SLA timescales. This will involve participating in an on-call rota to cover emergency call-outs during non-core hours.
3. Complete compliance activity and minor works in accordance with JSP375.
4. Undertake minor installation works, e.g., refurbishment projects.
5. Manage a schedule of work and ensure all associated administration duties are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
6. Work with minimal supervision and have the ability to make decisions on the most appropriate repair solution.
7. Ensure all H&S documentation (RAMS) are present prior to engaging the task.
8. Review and contribute to Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure they are to an acceptable standard and always ensure compliance.
9. Work from drawings and specifications and other documentation without the need for direct supervision.
10. Record all tasks against the appropriate assets via the PDA and ensure all documentation relating to maintenance and response works is completed, recorded, and distributed in a timely manner.
Qualifications/Desired:
Essential:
1. Electrical qualifications - Including City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing.
2. Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety requirements including COSHH and RIDDOR.
3. Full UK Driving Licence.
4. Must have the ability to obtain 'SC' level Security Clearance.
5. Must be punctual and reliable.
6. Ability to self-motivate.
7. Excellent communication skills.
Desirable:
1. Experience of working on electrical assets within a commercial environment.
2. Accredited First Aid qualification.
3. Accredited Health and Safety qualification.
4. Membership of a relevant professional body.
5. Previous experience of operating in an MOD environment and/or previous SC clearance.
