Atrium Hotel Heathrow has a new and exciting opportunity for a dynamic Sales Manager Groups. Just one stop from Heathrow Airport, Atrium Hotel Heathrow is an urban retreat offering 570 ultra chic bedrooms with delectable culinary offerings through multiple Food & Beverage outlets, sizeable event spaces, and exquisite wellness facilities like a swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, and fitness centre.
About the role
A Sales Manager Groups shall generate and develop hotel sales related to groups business and implement the hotel groups sales plans. To maximize revenue development from the groups market segment taking into consideration all market segments as per the Sales plan.
The successful Sales Manager Groups will undertake the following duties:
1. Increase occupancy, average rate, and profits of the hotels through proactive planning and reaching out to businesses which can provide group bookings.
2. Represent the sales functions and needs of the hotel in the development of the Company’s business development strategies.
3. Strong knowledge of Heathrow / Hounslow area to drive potential business sales.
4. Implement and oversee the sales account management system.
5. Set, follow, and review business targets to achieve the best strategy in bringing groups related business.
6. Develop and implement a well-defined and focused Sales Plan with specific activities for the groups market.
7. Establish and maintain active working relationships with selected key accounts via individual account management sales plans.
8. Co-ordinate and attend specific industry events and trade shows.
9. Manage regular direct mail campaigns as per the Sales Plan.
10. Conduct product training to agents in line with the Regional Sales Plan.
11. Be able to conduct showarounds for potential clients.
12. Manage group business and ensure quoting is up to standard and not at a loss.
13. Keep abreast of, and report on, market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback in month-end reports.
14. Assist in the training of employees ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties efficiently and productively.
15. Ensure that the correct standards and methods of service are maintained as stated in the Hotel and Department Operations Manuals and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations, particularly relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety.
16. Adhere to the Department's operational budget, within the costs and expenditure approved.
17. Comply with local legislation and be conversant with any matters relating to your department.
18. Be flexible and extend job duties if required to meet business demands and guest service needs.
19. Contribute to regular departmental communications meetings.
Skills and requirements
1. Exceptional customer care skills.
2. Ability to work in a busy environment.
3. Knowledge of the local area (Heathrow / Hounslow).
4. Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues across the hotel.
5. Constantly improve knowledge and show a desire to learn; attend company training.
6. Take a responsible approach towards timekeeping and attendance to ensure the department runs efficiently and assist in the event of absence cover.
7. Maintain high levels of enthusiasm and commitment to every task undertaken.
8. Good communication skills.
9. Proficiency in English language is strongly preferred.
10. Opera PMS and Symphony system experience is preferable.
11. Previous experience in a hotel environment is a requisite.
