Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Office Manager with HR qualifications and experience who is motivated, organised, an excellent communicator with a great sense of humour. This role is to be the oil that keeps us all moving as well as ensuring our HR function has structure and process. An eye for detail is essential as is report writing and excellent IT skills.

* Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues, students and parents both in writing and verbally.
* Meticulous attention to detail, as you will be responsible for managing crucial administrative and staffing tasks.
* Knowledge and experience of employment law.
* Adaptability to changing circumstances and work effectively under pressure.
* Strong computer skills and be proficient at using Microsoft Office including word, spreadsheets and email.
* Ability to identify and solve problems independently and work effectively with colleagues to find solutions.
* The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
* Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and provide support to the wider team.
* Proactive approaches to identify and address potential issues before they arise, to ensure smooth operation of the organisation.
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Providing support to the Managing Director and management team including collecting staff reports, taking minutes and handling follow up actions.
2. Responsibility for conducting fire safety checks and ensuring that fire safety equipment is maintained and up to date.
3. Creating reports and analysis of learner information.
4. Recruitment and selection responsibilities.
5. Staff contract management and any associated changes.
6. Preparation of job descriptions including creating and updating.
7. Setting up robust and clear HR procedures using associated IT.
8. Ensuring all HR functions, processes and procedures are legally compliant.
9. First port of call to deal with any staff issues such as sickness, grievance, disputes etc.
10. Providing support to staff with various activities including document preparation and any other administrative tasks.
11. Conducting quarterly staff wellbeing surveys and report on the results.
12. Lead on the organisation’s diversity and inclusion initiatives and report on progress.
13. Lead on the organisation's environmental and sustainability responsibilities and reporting on them.
14. Diary management.
15. Complete, update and monitor risk assessments (training can be provided).
16. Monitor and update policies and procedures.
17. Capturing, tracking and reporting on our work, including writing of case studies and reports for funders.
18. Organise all EHCP arrangements.
19. Promote an inclusive environment across the programme.
20. Participate in appraisal and professional development as appropriate.
21. Understand and apply Learn2 Cornwall policies.
22. Any other duties that the Managing Director may, from time to time, ask the post holder to perform.
23. Maintain confidentiality inside and outside the workplace.
24. Driving is essential.
25. Complete and maintain professional CPD log in order to improve your skills, including those outside of mandatory requirements.

Pay: £24,000.00-£26,000 per year
