Role Summary: We are seekinga skilled 2nd Line InfrastructureEngineer to join our IT team in Warrington. Thisrole offers the opportunity to work with a variety of IT systemsand solutions providing indepth technical support and contributingto the security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. Youll be akey player in maintaining our systems supporting users and drivingcontinuous improvement.
KeyResponsibilities:
* Technical Support:Deliver advanced 2nd Line support for Mac/PC environments serversand cloud infrastructure handling a diverse range of technicalissues with confidence.
* SystemMaintenance: Manage and maintain critical IT systemsincluding server estates Active Directory and endpoint securityensuring all systems are secure reliable and compliant withindustry standards.
* Security& Compliance: Implement and monitor securityprotocols to protect our systems from potential threats. Ensurecompliance with software licensing and cyber securityregulations.
* ProjectInvolvement: Play a pivotal role in planning andexecuting IT projects from initial design to full rollout ensuringthat all initiatives align with business objectives and bestpractices.
* TeamSupport: Mentor and support junior IT engineerssharing knowledge and troubleshooting skills to enhance teamcapabilities.
* Documentation:Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems procedures andconfigurations to ensure transparency and continuity within theteam.
* OutofHoursSupport: Provide emergency support as needed toensure 24/7 operational integrity.
Key Skills &Experience:
* Experience: Atleast 3 years of experience in a 2nd Line support role with astrong track record of resolving complex technicalissues.
* TechnicalProficiency: Solid understanding of Windows 10/11Microsoft Server Operating Systems Active Directory DNS DHCP GPOsserver hardware Microsoft HyperV and networkingprotocols.
* Communication:Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technicalconcepts to both technical and nontechnical users and confidentlyinteract with clients andcolleagues.
* ProblemSolving: Demonstrated ability to diagnose andresolve technical issues independently with advanced problemsolvingskills.
* CustomerService: A customerfocused approach ensuring thatall users receive the highest level of support andservice.
DesirableSkills:
* Familiaritywith Cisco networking firewalls Microsoft SQL management and cloudplatforms like Azure or AWS.
* Experience withsecurity standards such as ISO27001 and knowledge of cybersecuritytools like CrowdStrike Falcon.
