Our client, is currently seeking two experienced Principal Planners to join their dedicated team on a contract basis. offering hybrid working arrangements, including two days in the office or on-site. This is a temporary position for six months, with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and management of minerals and waste planning projects
* Provide expert advice on planning applications and policy matters
* Coordinate and manage consultation processes for planning proposals
* Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with relevant planning legislation and regulations
* Engage with various stakeholders, including local authorities and community groups
* Support the delivery of sustainable development objectives
* Mentor and guide junior planning staff as required
Job Requirements:
* Experience in minerals and waste planning
* Strong proficiency in development management processes
* Ability to interpret and apply planning legislation and policies
* Excellent organisational and project management skills
* High-level written and verbal communication abilities
* Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Relevant planning degree or equivalent qualification
