Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
1. Cover support and maintenance services specifically for MOJ / HMP clients as well as other BUK clients as required.
2. Problem-solving and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and control systems for MOJ and other security clients (e.g., Police, NHS).
3. Repairs of identified issues.
4. Constantly observe for potential health and safety issues at work.
5. Electrical installation, commissioning, and small project work.
6. Promptly report maintenance visits and call-outs to the manager and suggest solutions for unresolved issues.
7. Liaise with customers about the technical aspects of maintenance visits, call-outs, or project works as required.
8. Maintain good relationships with customers’ engineers during maintenance visits and promote Bilfinger’s brand.
9. Identify areas of concern on existing equipment and suggest possible solutions and improvements.
10. Specify parts required for call-outs, projects, or maintenance.
11. Support and shadow new starters to ensure they have a good understanding of service activities.
12. Follow market developments in your area of expertise.
13. Suggest training courses needed to keep skills up to date.
14. Keep all security vetting requirements up to date for clients including MOJ, NHS, Police services, and Nuclear clients.
15. Carry out preventive maintenance checks and inspections of control equipment, diagnosing and rectifying faults.
16. Resolve issues at site with minimal interruption to the client.
17. Test equipment and install and commission control systems on-site.
Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Apprenticeship
* BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* IPAF Licence
* ECS/CSCS Card with Appropriate Qualifications
* Desirable: 2391 Test and Inspection
