This role is a dynamic operational role, and the post holder will provide first line management support to the operational staff in area to ensure that through joint working that EMED Group provides the best possible service for its customers and employees. Flu vaccination (through an internal campaign in Autumn/Winter) Role and Responsibilities The Team leader role has responsibility for the provisions of leadership and management to the immediate operational staff. Develop a good working knowledge of the business processes to ensure these are being complied by and followed by staff in specified areas. To provide effective leadership in ensuring that standards and practices comply with policies and procedures. To ensure that the team understand their roles and are working within governance, policy and procedures and promote excellence in line with contractual requirements. Ensure all crews are booked on within the shift start time requirements, minimising on any unnecessary down times/overtime throughout the shift. You can be expected to support operations which may require going out on the road and covering routes. Assist with office duties i.e. processing of all administration tasks, KPI reports, completion of staff rotas, cost savings, HR tasks and payroll actions in respect to the timely return of overtime and Zero hours worked on a weekly basis. Uphold business principles of customer care and staff welfare by promoting and maintaining good working relationships and practices in all dealings with staff and outside agencies. Liaise with the other Team Leaders/Supervisors to ensure the effective and efficient use of resources and for the resolution of problems. To have a good working knowledge off all systems provided to support you in the role. i.e. Bamboo, Radar, Licence check, Fleet check, Cleric and Crystalball (training provided) Ensure appropriate liaison with other agencies regarding transport issues when required. Ensure that systems and processes are in place to monitor efficiency and quality of service performance. Assist in the provision of timely and accurate statistical information, ensure all reports and documentation are accurate and on time. Ensure the awareness and compliance of all the businesses policies and procedures. Play a lead role in operations in mobilising the Major Incident Plan if the business is put on standby for a Major incident. Ensure a high standard of vehicle and equipment serviceability, cleanliness and permanent readiness and that crews carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly in accordance with service instructions. Attend training and complete satisfactorily to be able to undertake a full range of duties. What are we looking for? Computer literate - knowledge of Microsoft Office, Personnel and Payroll Packages. Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills. Self-motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic. Ability to work under pressure and to tight time scales. A minimum of one-year recent management/supervisor experience. You must have held a valid (manual) UK driving licence for 2 years plus with 6 or less penalty points Logical, concise, innovative thinker. Customer service focus and multi-site experience. Confident communicator. Flexible professional with a “Can do and will do” attitude.
