About the role and responsibilities
As a Sales Account Manager, you will be assisted throughout to achieve sales and smash targets. There are no limits on the potential rewards for those willing to put in the hard work, and as the main point of contact between the organisation and customers, your responsibilities will include:
1. Building strong relationships with clients to provide superior customer service.
2. Making cold calls to prospective clients to obtain new business.
3. Growing, developing, and managing roughly 100+ accounts from SMBs to Fortune 500s across the Manufacturing, Aerospace, Robotics, Automotive, Medical, and Energy industries.
4. Managing incoming deals from existing clients, building relationships with current contacts, prospecting for new contacts within your assigned accounts, and growing revenue.
5. Strategizing and formulating plans with your manager and team for how to continue growing revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and recurring business within your accounts.
6. Helping customers get to market faster and more efficiently.
7. Supporting manufacturing projects from the prototyping phase to production for CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal, and 3D printing.
8. Helping engineering teams reduce lead times and manufacturing costs.
9. Being on the phone as a regular part of your day making both sales calls to potential clients and follow-up calls to existing ones.
10. Visiting your clients on-site about 15-25% of the time with travel throughout the UK, Europe, and North America.
About you
To be successful in the role of Sales Account Manager, you will need a natural sales ability, an eye for detail, be capable of working under pressure, demonstrate professional integrity, and have credibility and commitment to client success. You must be:
1. Studied Mechanical Engineering or Product Design or have an interest in it.
2. Commercially driven, but customer-focused.
3. Sales experience preferred; experience in (custom) part manufacturing, series production, or prototyping and product design would be beneficial.
4. Having active accounts in one or more manufacturing-relevant industries would be beneficial.
5. Fluent in English, written and spoken.
6. Engineering education or experience is advantageous but not essential.

For the role of Sales Account Manager, you will receive an excellent salary of £24,000+ and up to 5% commission on sales, plus:
