We are looking to recruit 2 Personal Assistant's to work together as a 2:1 support to a young person with Cerebral Palsy. We would also welcome 2 applicants who know each other and who are willing to work together. Support is needed with Personal Care/Hygiene in the family home to assist with showering 3 times a week. Previous training in Manual Handling/Hoist use is desirable but training can be provided if required.
A Personal Assistant works directly with one or more individuals to support them with various aspects of their daily life so that they can live it in a way they choose.
You will be employed directly by the family of the person who needs care and support.
Online training will be given, if required, in areas such as Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, Manual Handling and a 1 day in-house course of Emergency Paediatric First Aid. A full enhanced DBS check will be required prior to starting with the family and will be provided.
Hours per week - 6 hours x 2 Personal Assistants which will be broken down in 3 x 2 hourly sessions per week - Tuesday 6pm - 8pm, Thursday 6pm - 8pm and Sundays 2pm - 4pm. (This is only a guide and can be flexible)
Due to the nature of this role, the family would prefer female candidates who ideally live in Halton or the surrounding boroughs.
Wage will be £11.44 per hour worked. Drivers preferred but not essential for this role.
