Join our dynamic team and in this exciting role you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the reliability and safety of our breathing apparatus equipment that our frontline firefighters rely on. You'll work in our training centre performing essential maintenance and repairs to equipment and premises, helping to develop our next generation of firefighters. The Role As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and servicing the breathing apparatus equipment that our frontline firefighters rely on. You will play a key role in ensuring all training and operational equipment is in top condition while also contributing to general maintenance at our training facilities. Key Responsibilities: Inspect, maintain, and service Breathing Apparatus (BA) sets, including replacing parts and recording data in the asset management system. Clean and dry BA sets to ensure they are ready for use. Conduct general first-line maintenance to premises. Undertake checks of the firehouse and its systems. Set up and prepare equipment for training events. Why NFRS? Experience/Qualification Experience of practical work, including inspecting, repairing and handling various types of equipment. Have good time management and be able to prioritise tasks, working as part of a team or own your own initiative. Possess an understanding of Health and Safety regulations and procedures. Full driving license and ability to work outside of normal working hours.
