As a successful candidate, you will have a Level 2 or above qualification in Early Years Education, with significant experience in working with children with Special Educational Needs. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with both children and their families to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Nursery Lead to plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children in line with the EYFS framework.
Provide tailored support to children with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities, adapting activities and resources to accommodate their requirements with a particular emphasis on 1:1 care of a child with Special Educational Needs.
Observe and assess children's progress and development, using tools and techniques specified by the EYFS framework, and provide feedback to support ongoing assessment and planning for children's learning.
Build positive relationships with parents or caregivers, involving them in their child's learning journey, providing feedback on their child's progress, and offering advice and support.
Ensure health and safety requirements are met, including risk assessments, supervision of children, and promoting good hygiene practices.
