The successful applicant will need to be a highly-motivated and hard-working individual who can work independently and part of a team. We are looking for a flexible, caring and compassionate people person with excellent telephone manner and confidence in dealing with everyday challenges within a busy and fast paced team/ environment. We will need the new team member to establish and maintain effective communication with patients, carers and families about complex matters providing a warm welcoming and enabling environment to support during potentially complex, upsetting and stressful topics. Our new team member will need to be able work closely with the surgeons, registrars, doctors, lead nurses, other NHS staff members and theatre staff to ensure that theatre lists are appropriately utilized. You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to meet targets and deadlines. You will need to be able to work under pressure whilst making decisions for the service. The post holder will need to be proactive in managing targets for individual patients and making sure national standards are not breached.
