We are looking for a number of Supply Chain Specialists for a 6 months contract based in Derby on behalf of our globally respected client who develops cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs. Please note this role is going to be on an hybrid basis.
Job description - the role
As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will support the Procurement Supplier Management Teams for groups of identified suppliers in validating and executing their delivery plans.
As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for:
1. Conducting deep dives on high-risk supply chains, including exhaustive Order Book Reviews and associated auditing activity to ensure demand cascade for raw materials, manufacturing launch adherence, adequate inbound supply confidence, and sufficient load/capacity to meet rate requirements.
2. Conducting deep dives with 2nd tier suppliers and beyond, including raw material supply chains, ensuring adequate demand/material cascade and sufficient capacity at all levels of the supply chain.
3. Supporting rate reviews for all procurement parts listed in the Bill of Materials.
4. Supporting teams where risks are identified or confidence is low, in assessing the suppliers' position and developing rate readiness plans which support the client's requirements.
5. Developing and maturing raw material de-coupling strategy for forgings and castings, working with procurement to identify suppliers we need to purchase capacity from and establish load/cap requirements to support future demand.

1. Stakeholder management experience.
2. Manufacturing background.
3. Proficiency within SAP.
4. Planning, controlling and delivering experience.
5. Supply chain experience.
