Duties as a Food Technology Teacher: Teach engaging and hands-on Food Technology lessons at [KS3 / KS4 / KS5] Plan and deliver schemes of work aligned with national curriculum/exam board specifications Encourage creativity, independence, and healthy choices through food education Ensure high standards of health and safety in practical sessions Contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular opportunities like cooking clubs or competitions Ideal Food Technology Teacher: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent A degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or a related subject Strong subject knowledge and passion for both the practical and theoretical sides of food education Excellent organisational skills and classroom management as a Food Technology Teacher.
