Planning Engineer
Location: Dungeness B Power Station, Romney Marsh, UK
About the Opportunity: We are recruiting an experienced Practitioner Planning Engineer to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team, supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Generation with their nuclear fleet in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage project schedules, incorporating risk, change, resource requirements, and cost.
* Create plans for the full project lifecycle, including development and design in the Nuclear Defueling team.
* Support delivery of the client’s ALR2 commitments.
* Based at Dungeness Power Station with occasional business travel to UK sites/stations.
* Flexible working arrangements between office and home may be possible.
* Maintain high safety standards and culture within a highly regulated environment.
* Develop relationships and maintain effective networks with strong communication and organisational skills.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of HNC/HND, ideally in an Engineering discipline, or relevant experience.
* Experience across the whole project and programme lifecycle (e.g., Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning processes).
* Proficiency in the latest version of Primavera.
* Ability to develop, control, monitor, analyze, and report on schedule-related aspects for designated projects.
* Establish and monitor a cost and resource-loaded, logic-linked baseline plan.
* Capture project budgetary costs and resources to determine time phasing of expenditure and the total project budget.
* Develop robust Work Breakdown and Project Control Structures in terms of project scope.
