Job summary We are offering an exciting opportunity for Senior Review Radiographer to join our team in a forward thinking radiotherapy department at the Velindre Cancer Service (Satellite Radiotherapy Unit at Neville Hall Hospital)_ Main duties of the job To organise and lead on radiographer led review clinics, including assessing and managing treatment side effects, and advising patients and carers on how to manage these side effects. To include prescribing medications where appropriate utilising the current prescribing guidelines. To lead on information and support for radiotherapy patients and carers, providing a holistic approach to the emotional, practical, social and information needs, utilising a variety of communication media. To be part of the multidisciplinary team involved in the total care of patients undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment and highly specialist treatments e.g. SRS and SBRT Attendance at multidisciplinary team meetings and travel to other hospitals as appropriate. To assist in organising and planning the workload in review clinic and information and support service. To take responsibility for training and supervising more junior review radiographers, rotational radiographers, support staff and students. To work with more senior staff to provide a safe, accurate, efficient and caring treatment service. To act as a resource within the Trust providing expert knowledge to support the multidisciplinary team.
