The Alternative Capital Markets (ACM) group within the Asset & Wealth Management Division (AWM) is looking for a Vice President to join the team based in London.
ACM serves as the central interface between PWM clients and groups within Goldman Sachs, including AWM public and private direct investing efforts and the External Investing Group (XIG) group across private equity, private credit, private real estate, hedge funds and related co-investments.

Alternative Capital Markets is a global team with 60+ alternative investment professionals across eight offices (New York, Albany, Dallas, London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shenzhen), responsible for over $120B+ in AUS, serving institutions, foundations, family offices, high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals. ACM is the architect of the Wealth Alternatives platform including private equity, growth / venture capital, private credit, private real estate, hedge funds, co-investments and impact private investing. These offerings include AM Private, XIG, and third-party external investment strategies, as well as differentiated private company access via both internal and external referrals. ACM’s full-service capital markets business covers the entire lifecycle of an alternative investment, from investment sourcing to client solutions, as well as a new discretionary offering enabling programmatic platform access, an in-house liquidity platform for clients (qualified matching service, or QMS), and dedicated platform management and strategy.
Candidates should have knowledge of Alternatives asset class(es) through prior experience and understand fund structures across the product group(s).
* Prior client experience and sales is a required part of the role – applicants should be able to demonstrate examples of where they have built, maintained and grown relationships with prospective clients and existing.
* Ability to organize roadshows and events would be beneficial as well as creative thinking around client engagement.
* Historical experience of managing multiple projects on an ongoing basis and helping drive initiatives.
* The candidate needs to be detail oriented, organized and have a clear ability to multi-task and work to deadlines.
* In addition to discussing new products, the candidate should be able to discuss existing portfolios and client review materials.
Requirements
* Bachelors Degree or Higher.
* Deep understanding of financial markets and investment instruments.
* Ideally 4-7 years experience in wealth management, asset management, private equity or hedge funds.
* Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to engage, understand and improve complex systems and processes.
* Sophisticated and tactful client manager who can effectively manage the entire investor lifecycle.
* Strong ability to multi-task, with an ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines.
* Self-starter, with ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment and across group functions.
* Solid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detail.
