Job Title: Technical Facilities Engineer
Salary: up to £68,000 DOE
Location: Surrey
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Facilities Engineer to join an end client, primarily based on site in Chertsey. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Shift Lead/Manager who is looking to take a step up into a more senior role, directly with the client themselves.
The Technical Facilities Engineer will report to the Head of Technical Facilities, while working alongside colleagues within the TFM team and key suppliers.
The principal purpose of this role is to support the Technical Facility Team in ensuring safe operation, compliance with facility and building services law and associated regulations, and maintaining building services uptime 24 x 7 x 365.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for daily validation of campus services operation, providing incident and risk reports to the Head of Technical Facilities.
2. Support the timely closure of Facility compliance actions, specifically in relation to Fire, Noise, and Water management.
3. Validate third-party supplier works activities, ensuring safety and workmanship standards are maintained at all times and that agreed RAMS are followed.
4. Manage goods and/or services receipting in relation to third-party project and/or additional works activities prior to payment.
5. Produce third-party SLA and KPI reporting through the CAFM system.
6. Oversee the correct use of the e-permit system.
7. Support the client services team in ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.
8. Oversee site risks and ensure risks are correctly mitigated, managed, and reported.
9. Manage the site budget, ensuring value for Ark in all procurements.
10. Work with suppliers, Ark colleagues, and customers to deliver optimal PUE for the site.
11. Participate in out of hours escalation call out and maintenance activities as part of the team where required.
Requirements:
1. A recognised trade qualification in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline or Building Services.
2. 5+ years' experience in critical engineering services (ideally Data Centres).
3. HVAP Qualification is preferred.
4. A history of leading teams and working closely with contractors.
5. Ability to converse with the client.
6. Driving license - occasional visits to additional sites required.
