An exciting opportunity has arisen in theatres at the National treatment Centre, Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, for a band 7 Theatre SCN/Clinical Lead. This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to further develop their leadership skills. You will have elective orthopaedic theatre experience at a senior level and be able to demonstrate on-going professional development.
The unit comprises of three theatres and a recovery room delivering care to patients from Fife and Lothian.
The post holder will provide professional and clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team, and will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and effective management of the operating theatres by planning and implementing patient centred care, and for the setting of standards of care. The post holder will be primarily responsible for ensuring all theatre lists run smoothly by coordinating the suite on a daily basis and be responsible for monitoring daily theatre efficiency.
You should be RGN or ODP qualified and possess excellent communication skills, have the ability to work cohesively within the multidisciplinary team and have evidence of strong leadership and negotiation skills.
Hours will be worked Monday to Saturday; however, flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the service.
