Our client is an international destination brand based in Bath now looking to appoint a Group Accountant. With a dynamic and ambitious growth strategy driven by mergers and acquisitions (M&A), they have significantly expanded their global footprint, adding new businesses to its portfolio and diversifying its offerings across multiple sectors.
Role
As a result of this growth, we are looking for a suitably qualified ACA/ACCA to work alongside a progressive Group Financial Controller.
Responsibilities:
* Group Consolidation: Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS, ensuring accurate reporting for the entire group.
* Financial Reporting: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders, providing insightful analysis and commentary on financial performance.
* Intercompany Reconciliation: Oversee and coordinate intercompany balances and transactions to ensure proper elimination during consolidation.
* Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow across group entities, assisting with liquidity management and forecasts.
* Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, coordinating with external auditors during year-end audits.
* Taxation: Assist with tax compliance, including VAT, corporation tax, and transfer pricing.
* Management Support: Work closely with divisional finance teams to support business operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting and effective financial decision-making.
* Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in financial processes, implementing efficiencies and best practices across the group.
About You
ACA or ACCA qualified, you will have strong experience in group accounting and financial reporting, preferably within a complex, multi-entity environment. With an in-depth understanding of IFRS and financial accounting standards, coupled with the ability to navigate complex financial transactions and reporting structures, you will play a key role in managing the consolidation and reporting processes for the entire group.
