Kingpins Bowl - Chelmsford is an exciting, brand new gaming venue located in the heart of Chelmsford town centre. We are the new generation of interactive gaming offering ten pin bowling, along with Augmented Reality (AR) Darts, arcade gaming, air hockey and of course our very impressive full size, American pool tables. Kingpins Bowl - Chelmsford is an expansion of our successful and very well established Kingpins Bowl - Southend. We pride ourselves on old fashioned customer service with the ability to integrate the latest technology in to our venues in order to create the ultimate gaming experience.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring exceptional service and maintaining high standards of food safety and preparation. This position is perfect for individuals with a background in hospitality or restaurant management who are looking to advance their careers in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring that all staff adhere to company policies and procedures.
* Supervise and train team members, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development.
* Help maintain high standards of food preparation and safety, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
* Manage inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure the venue is well-stocked.
* Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, providing excellent service to enhance guest satisfaction.
* Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours, assisting where needed.
* Implement promotional activities effectively to drive sales growth.
Experience
* Previous experience in a hospitality setting is essential; experience in bartending would be advantageous.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team effectively.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation is required, although training will be provided on this.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to engage positively with customers and staff alike.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving, demonstrating the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and efficiently.
