Job Title: Head of Ecommerce
Location: London - Onsite 5 days per week
Salary: £70-80K + Benefits
The Role
This role is pivotal in driving my start-up clients revenue, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring the website is a high-performing, conversion-led platform. As Head of Ecommerce, you will be required to develop and execute the e-commerce strategy to drive revenue, customer acquisition, and retention as well as owning and optimising key performance metrics including conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV), and customer lifetime value (CLV).
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead website development projects, working closely with developers to enhance site speed, navigation, and UX/UI.
2. Oversee site merchandising, ensuring optimal product categorisation and placement to drive sales.
3. Manage the integration of tools and technologies (AI-driven personalisation, product recommendations, on-site search, etc.).
4. Drive A/B testing and CRO initiatives to improve conversion.
5. Lead the trading strategy, ensuring the site is optimised for peak performance.
6. Manage pricing, promotions, and online merchandising to maximise engagement and revenue.
7. Own commercial reporting, delivering insights on trading performance and customer behaviour.
8. Align with demand planning and logistics teams to ensure seamless stock availability and fulfilment.
9. Work closely with brand marketing teams to align online campaigns with wider brand activations.
10. Optimise marketing spend across paid media channels to ensure efficiency and ROAS.
What You'll Need
1. Proven experience in a senior e-commerce role within a DTC brand.
2. Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (Shopify Plus experience highly desirable).
3. Solid experience in website management, CRO, UX, and site performance optimisation.
4. Commercially driven, with experience in trading and revenue growth.
5. Deep knowledge of performance marketing channels (Google Ads, Meta, Affiliates, SEO).
6. Strong analytical mindset, comfortable working with Google Analytics, Looker, or other BI tools.
