Band 7 Emergency Nurse/Care Practitioner The Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) at The Friarage Hospital Northallerton is seeking an enthusiastic Emergency Nurse/Care Practitioner to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team. This unique UTC department delivers high quality care to a rural population of approximately ,141,000 people serving an area of 1,000 square miles. We are a South Tees diamond accredited department demonstrating high quality care delivery. The UTC is a multi-disciplinary team including GPs, Nurse Practitioners, paramedic practitioners, HCAs and receptionists. We work collaboratively with primary care and prioritise trying to avoid patients attending ED. We have links with all specialities including the Hospital at Home Team, Urgent Care Response Team, Mental Health, Paediatrics. We care for all ages of patients, from birth onwards treating minor illness and injury. We provide CPD with a monthly teaching programme and we support the trainee Nurse Practitioners within the department to complete their training and portfolio. We also support Teesside University with student nurses and paramedics. If you do not currently have Non-Medical Prescribing for a Band 7 role; please apply, as a training post would be considered. To deliver high standards of clinical care for patients, using advanced knowledge and skills to develop and promote evidenced based practice, working in a department with an unpredictable workload. Utilising clinical judgement and decision making undertakes a history and assessment of patients within the UTC making a diagnosis, plan of treatment and care then managing the referral and transfer of discharge of the patient.
