We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Rackets Coach to inspire and develop students aged 11 to 18 in these dynamic sports. Working as part of the school’s sports coaching team, you will deliver high-quality coaching sessions, organise matches and tournaments, and support the development of students’ skills, teamwork, and love for sport. This position is based in the Sports Coaching department and answers to the Director of Sport. You will plan and deliver engaging tennis, squash and badminton coaching sessions for students of varying abilities, prepare and support students for inter-school matches, tournaments, and internal competitions, promote skill development, sportsmanship, and teamwork in line with the school’s values and work collaboratively with the Director of Sport and other coaching staff to integrate tennis, squash and badminton into the wider sports programme.
Requirements:
* Proven experience coaching tennis, squash and/or badminton, ideally with young people in a school or club setting.
* Hold relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., England Squash Level 2, Badminton England Level 2) and a First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
* An excellent communicator with strong organisational skills and a commitment to nurturing young talent.
* Ability to inspire students to participate fully in sports, fostering a culture of enjoyment and achievement.
Typical Schedule:
* Tuesday 10.30-18.00 (games and activity)
* Wednesday 14.30-18.00 (games and activity)
* Thursday 11.00-12.30 and Saturday 12.00-15.00 (fixtures)
* Occasional additional hours on a Saturday for away fixtures
* Term Time Only, 34 weeks a year.
