Production Shift Supervisor
2pm till 10pm Monday to Friday

Must have previous and current production supervisory experience ideally within a food manufacturing environment.
JOB SUMMARY:
- To assume overall responsibility for all production areas during your shift; effectively managing human and material resources to ensure that goods are produced to the highest quality standards in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
- To always achieve the highest standards in Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Cost
- To maximize profitability through the control of line efficiency, batch yields and the reduction of out of life, shortages, waste and complaints.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensure the highest quality and food safety standards are embedded in warehouse for your shift.
Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and good housekeeping are maintained in warehouse for your shift (GMP – Good Manufacturing Practices).
Promote and maintain an “audit ready” culture within the warehouse by ensuring you understand “what good looks like”.
Communicate in a timely and effective manner with Managers of other departments (e.g. Quality, Technical) about any warehouse issues that occur (e.g. Product quality, Late Deliveries, Product Shortages etc.) which might impact upon the normal smooth running of other departments. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervising all production
All products are safe and legal and appropriately segregated
Ensuring PRP’s are monitored
Knowledge of weights and measures legislation
Ensuring the team adhere to health and safety requirements
Spotting and controlling non-conformances
Training new staff and training/rotating all staff
Accurate communication of information
Ensure handover to another Shift Supervisor is concise and accurate
Delegating tasks
Monitoring and reporting teams’ performance
Organising finished product and WIP with staff and warehouse
First point of call for all staff issues MAIN TASKS
Ensuring a safe, clean, tidy room
Accurate documenting of production
Accurate labelling of product
HACCP team member
Covering production runs
Liaise with Production Manager for production priorities
Liaise with Operations Manager for technical information and improvement of systems
Check Picking Sheets and Run Sheets are 100% filled out and accurate
Ensure Q.C checks are carried out
Spotting non-conformances in equipment
Filling out scissors/knife register
Checking building at start of day/end of day

JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL:
Minimum 1 year of experience within a supervisory role as your current or previous position
Good knowledge of customer standards
Productivity skills
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
Basic Health & Safety Certificate
Forklift/ Reach Truck Licence
