7. We also have quantity surveying, CDM Principal Designer, and Procurement teams to provide a comprehensive service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare feasibility reports.
2. Ownership of the project management of specific projects, including contract administration.
3. Prepare and apply for planning and building regulations approval.
4. Diligently complete inspections for allocated projects within agreed timeframes.
5. Undertake inspections to diagnose defects. Carry out site investigations including opening up, testing, and sampling to confirm diagnosis.
6. Produce accurate and timely reports incorporating the condition of buildings and recommending remedial work to be undertaken.
7. Carry out condensation surveys and produce accurate reports within the specified timeframe.
8. Undertake inspections and prepare expert reports acting on the instruction of our clients or their appointed solicitors in relation to housing disrepair.
9. Support the Partner in undertaking the role of adjoining owner's surveyor, building owner's surveyor, or agreed surveyor under the Party Wall etc Act 1996.
10. Inform the Partner of any project-specific issues and/or escalate concerns as they arise.
11. Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Qualification as a Chartered Building Surveyor.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of materials and construction types.
3. Thorough understanding of the planning and regulations approval process.
4. Detailed knowledge of the contract administration process.
5. Significant site inspection experience including the ability to diagnose defects including the testing and sampling process.
6. Ability to independently produce reports including feasibility, condition, and defect reports.
7. Some prior experience of party wall services would be beneficial.
8. Full UK Driving Licence.
