Business Support Administrator
£25,000 – £26,000 dependant on experience
Hours: 8.30 – 17.30 Monday to Friday
One in 4: 9.45 – 14.30 Saturdays paid as overtime @ 1 ½
We have an exciting opportunity with our client for a Business Support Assistant. Working within a small team, you will need to have a ‘roll your sleeves up’ attitude. You will be supporting all areas of the business with any administrative and customer support duties. This is an amazing opportunity for development, where you will be dealing with a multitude of responsibilities. Even though experience in most of the areas below is preferred, it is more about your attitude. So, if your experience is in retail or hospitality, and you can demonstrate you have excellent organisational skills and time management skills, then please still apply!
Main Duties:
1. Assist the Purchasing Manager with general administration duties including but not limited to raising purchase orders and checking documentation.
2. Order any production and/or packing supplies as directed by the Warehouse & Production Manager, QA Manager, and Purchasing Manager.
3. Assist the Administration Manager with general administration duties.
4. Manage and be responsible for the weekly fire alarm testing and weekly and monthly fire checks, also anything else that is required to make sure health & safety regulations are adhered to.
5. Assist the Customer Support Team and in the shop as and when required to do so.
6. Process orders (web, phone, and email).
7. Action any relevant emails.
8. Support customer service when required.
9. Answer customer queries by email, live chat, phone, or face to face.
10. Escalate customer complaints to the Customer Service Manager.
11. Make outbound calls and send emails to new customers, on a daily basis where time permits.
12. When necessary, assist at the various shows and events we attend where needed.
Experience Required:
1. A motivated, proactive attitude
2. Able to communicate effectively at all levels
3. Able to use Microsoft Office
4. Able to use Sage 200 (desirable)
5. Shows willingness to work in a flexible manner across a range of areas or responsibilities for the good of the company as a whole
6. Excellent organisational skills
