Role of a Deputy Catering Supervisor
1. Preparing and cooking for breakfasts, break times, lunches, buffets, and promotions.
2. Work with the catering manager on menus to ensure that meals cater for different dietary needs, in line with school food standards.
3. Completing documentation relating to the in-house food safety management system (HACCP), including recording food temperatures during cooking and serving, and the temperature of hot and cold holding equipment.
4. Maintain a high standard of quality food, presentation, and service.
5. Serve meals and assist children in making healthy choices.
6. Prepare the dining area.
7. Carry out cleaning duties.
Requirements of a Deputy Catering Supervisor
1. Must have a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (Level 3 Food Safety Certificate is desirable).
2. Must be able to cook and present food to a high standard.
3. Knowledge of allergies.
4. DBS check.
