Are you a dedicated registered Pharmacy Technician looking for a new challenge within a diverse, fast paced setting? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to become part of an integrated clinical workforce at HMPYOI Deerbolt. Pharmacy Technicians are forming an essential part of our excellence in care long-term plan and as a result are taking on more diverse patient-facing roles. No two days are the same working in our friendly and supportive team.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to support and develop the skills of pharmacy technicians to provide a varied range of services as well as some dispensary-based work. If you are interested in this post, you will need a minimum of NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy services and be a registered pharmacy technician. An accuracy checking pharmacy technician would be desirable.

9. BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical services
10. Appropriate accredited technican checking qualification
11. Knowledge of medicines optimisation
12. Pharmacy legal requirements and controlled drug legislation
Desirable
13. Knowledge of Pharmacy Computer systems
14. Substance misuse knowledge
15. Has good understanding of security issues in relation to prison
16. Excellent verbal and communication skills
17. Able to prepare reports and bulletins
