Commercial / Procurement Administrator – Barking – Construction
I am currently representing an award-winning Social Housing contractor who is looking to recruit a Commercial / Procurement Administrator to be based in Barking. They specialise in External and Structural works, Kitchen and bathroom replacements, Window and Door replacements, Mechanical and Electrical works and more.
Duties:
* Managing purchase orders and cost reporting using software systems.
* Sourcing and obtaining quotes, liaising with suppliers, and building long-term relationships.
* Handling invoice receipting, addressing queries, and resolving discrepancies.
* Monitoring procurement schedules to meet deadlines and chasing quotes to ensure timely delivery.
* Coordinating with subcontractors and managing orders for various materials.
* Assisting with small tenders for items such as skips, fuel, and PPE suppliers.
* Placing call-off orders and preparing and distributing necessary procurement documentation.
* Reviewing material take-offs for orders and ensuring proper documentation.
* Resolving invoice queries in coordination with site and procurement teams.
* Attending site and project meetings regularly to address procurement-related issues and ensure progress.
* Engaging with suppliers both on-site and in-office to resolve supply, product, or logistical issues.
