A thriving secondary school in Portsmouth is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Mathematics Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-achieving school and support students in developing their mathematical skills and confidence.
Main Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality lessons, using expert teaching and learning strategies.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Mathematics curriculum and adapt teaching to meet student needs.
* Use data analysis to track student progress and implement targeted support for SEND, Pupil Premium, and other priority groups.
* Encourage a culture of excellence, setting high expectations for student participation and achievement.
* Stay informed about curriculum developments and opportunities within Mathematics education.
* Reflect on feedback and proactively adjust teaching strategies for continuous improvement.
* Support personalised learning, ensuring all students receive the guidance and challenge they need to succeed.
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum developments in Mathematics.
* Commitment to high standards and expectations for all students.
* A reflective and adaptable approach, responding proactively to feedback.
* Passion for inspiring young people to develop their mathematical skills and confidence.
