As the Safety & Health Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in providing operational support in matters of industrial safety and health. Your primary focus will be to support the UKAEA Tritium Fuel Cycle Division working closely with the division leaders and their teams to drive a proactive culture in support of construction, upgrades, and operation of the UKAEA Tritium Fuel Cycle projects. This will suit a safety & health professional who is, or working towards chartered status and willing to challenge, mentor and support senior management in matters of safety & health.
Additional Responsibilities
1. Provide safety and health expertise to staff and contractors within the business area to ensure statutory compliance.
2. Support the business through monitoring and measuring safety & health performance and recommend actions for improvement.
3. With the relevant Head of Division conduct audits and inspections of the business areas.
4. Manage the S&H incident reports relevant to Divisions, ensuring appropriate actions are assigned, cause analysis is completed and there is a validation of closure.
5. Lead on S&H investigations including undertaking and completing Fact Finds and attending formal inquiries.

Minimum Requirements
1. Degree or equivalent in engineering or science related discipline.
2. NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent.
3. Chartered Member of IOSH or working towards CMIOSH.
4. Experience in management of safety and health in construction or facilities management.
5. Experience in carrying out audits and investigations.

The salary for this role is £48,376. Onsite working is expected for 3 days each week; however, we actively support requests for flexible working.
