Great Oaks College is a specialist independent college which is currently located within Oaklands School.
In September 2025 we are relocating to two new sites in Sunbury-on-Thames (Surrey) and Hounslow.

Vocational students are working towards the development of skills that they need to prepare them for paid employment. In addition to a core curriculum focusing on functional Maths and English, PSHEC and daily living skills, students have access to lessons, including Horticulture, Catering, Cafe, Retail and Facilities. Students also access external work placements in the community.
Students within the Life Skills Pathway are working towards the development of their day-to-day life skills, including cooking, home management, shopping, travelling, and developing communication and social skills. Students also work to develop their functional literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
Within the Engagement for life Pathway, students are working to develop their communication, build on their understanding of cause and effect and environmental control develop meaningful relationships and maintain their physical ability. We would love to hear from Teachers with experience in special education, who have the desire and motivation to make a difference in our students’ lives.
