We are currently recruiting for a Modern Apprentice for this out of school care setting. \n\nNo two days are the same, so energy and creativity are a must You might be leading an arts and crafts activity, doing some home baking, building a den, going on a bear hunt, directing a play or supervising our homework corner. A child centred environment so the only limit is the children's imaginations.\n\nNow more than ever there is a big encouragement for children to spend more time outdoors. Therefore, a passion for the outdoors and an enthusiasm which can be absorbed by others would be a desirable quality (but not essential)\n\nRate of pay ranges from £7.50 to £11.50 per hour dependent on age.\n\nHours of Work - 22.5 hours per week Monday to Friday from 7.30 - 9.00am & 3.00pm - 6.15pm (term time).\n\nSuccessful candidates will be required to offer 2 satisfactory references and undergo PVG and SSSC registration.\n Alongside this role you will be supported and guided through your qualification by both the training provider and employer. This will include: regular meetings with your allocated SVQ assessor, completing written work to support your accreditation and competencies in each area of your qualification and participating in training events. \n\nYou will:\n-learn and train how to deliver effective care and learning\n-work as part of a team\n-develop care and pedagogical skills to support each individual child's care and learning needs\n-design and deliver learning experiences to develop each child\n-support the workings of the setting\n-develop knowledge of child development\n-understand the theory and practice around Getting It Right For Every Child\n-developing your knowledge of frameworks in relation to early learning and childcare.\n\nYou will undertake an apprenticeship in childcare to complete the SVQ3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 7. Therefore, on completion you will become a qualified childcare practitioner.\n\nThe qualification will be delivered by Tinies Glasgow Training Centre (SQA accredited). Candidates must be enthusiastic and committed to delivering high quality childcare to all children. \nCandidates do not require to have any professional childcare experience however you must be able to show a passion for working with children.
