The purpose of this role is to work alongside management and leadership teams to oversee the development of the procurement function. Ensure supply chain purchasing, requisitioning and logistics functions of site operations are fulfilled both operationally and strategically. Identify opportunities to improve performance, creating efficiency and increasing profitability whilst delivering best value and a proactively managed risk profile across the supply chain.
This role will also support the development of systems, processes and procedures to improve the supply chain function and business efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement supply chain strategies that optimise efficiency and minimise costs, while ensuring that quality standards are maintained.
2. Review company processes and systems in relation to procurement activity, identifying opportunities for further improvement and deploying initiatives across the business. Ensure that all procurement processes are consistently applied across business units.
3. Lead the procurement function to ensure effective supplier management and continuous improvement of the software applications used to manage suppliers.
4. Responsible for the review and development of supplier onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with industry best-practices and business standards.
5. Lead the implementation and deployment of an updated procure-to-pay process across the business.
6. Accountable for the development and publication of procurement-based dashboards across business applications.
7. Lead the proactive management and audit of key suppliers.
8. Ensure that all work is carried out safely and in compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
9. Supply chain input into tendering activity.

Competence Requirements
Knowledge & Qualifications
1. Formal qualification in a relevant supply chain discipline is essential.
2. MCIPS or CIPS Advanced Practitioner qualification is strongly desirable.
3. Extensive experience in use and implementation of procurement systems, including development and deployment of process improvements across business streams is essential.
4. Comprehensive understanding of contracting and procurement processes, material management, warehousing and logistics within the Oil and Gas industry is essential.
5. Depth of knowledge in relation to contracting principles and strategies, contract negotiation and risk-management is essential.
Skills & Experience
1. Extensive track record in procurement activities, demonstrating continuous improvement and application of industry best practices is essential.
2. Experience of working in a service company environment within the UK Oil and Gas sector, including duty-holder contracting models is desirable.
3. Demonstrable skills in management of major supplier contracts, including tender; negotiation; award; management and audit; closeout is essential.
4. Strong computer literacy, with a focus on MS Office Packages including Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Word, Visio. Experience in use and deployment of CMMS and ERP systems such as Maximo and ERP applications, is essential.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities is essential.
